My name is Cassandra Mol but most people know me as Cassi. I'm from Brunswick, Ohio, but grew up in Pella, Iowa. I just finished my second year at Anderson University and am currently majoring in Music Therapy. Music Therapy uses music to help stimulate the brain and keep people healthier, longer. It's mainly used for people with disabilities or elderly. I love kids and absolutely adore old people- they're just so darn funny and cute!! I've always wanted to go to Africa, ever since I was young, and always knew I would at some point in time. So when this trip caught my eye, I just knew it was my time to go and fulfill God's plan for me. I also love MOST animals and work at PetSmart because of it. I most definitely don't like spiders though and that's one of my biggest fears about Africa at this point... I'm having visions of myself being eaten alive while I sleep at night by a giant tarantula! :) I love to read books, watch movies, explore and experience new things, hang out with my friends and play/listen to music. I'm shy and quiet when you first get to know me but as I get to know a person, I become much more outgoing and talkative. I also like to collect piggy banks and will probably buy a couple while in Swaziland. I play the piano and clarinet, with a small, small amount of guitar. I've been on a couple missions trips before this one, one to Oklahoma and one to Kentucky. They were mainly work trips and so great!! I love getting my hands dirty and making things and seeing the help I love to give to people. This trip excites and scares me all at the same time! I'm so excited to experience this and getting to know the people over there and fall in love with the country, but I'm also nervous for stepping out of my comfort zone and not knowing exactly what's going to happen. I can't wait to meet everyone! I'll see you all in a couple months!!
