Hey everyone! I know as it gets closer the to do list can get stressful! We worry about what to pack and if we will have enough, and some of us even begin to question if we should be doing this! Is this really where God would have us....

Deep Breath

Remember...We serve a big God, He can handle our to-do list and even help us pack. Also...let this trip do part of its job in helping us let go of our attempts to frantically control every aspect and always have whatever material possession we want. His character is faithful provider. Rest in that! Don't let the stress make you snap at friends or family is your last days home...(guilty of it this morning)! He understands. You are right where He wants you! He has big plans for all of us!

But there is the practical side of packing. Here are things that made my travels more enjoyable on the packing side. This advice might come in handy or might not. Here is just some of Elle's advice...

bring all the tampons you want. Don't count on buying them there. If you use pads...you'll be fine! But I'm bringing 4 months worth. The compact ones are perfect. This is just my preference!

I travel with a sarong instead of a towel. It saves room in space. I might bring two. Very useful! Quick dry towels work well too....but they smell bad quickly. But I had one of those too on the World Race.

Laundry bag...i used a nylon one I got from walmart. Just makes life easier. You don't need a big fancy one though! Even one of those reusable grocery bags is fine.

Bring normal clothes too. It will help you feel like yourself and they work. Quick dry and camping clothes are helpful...but I'm going to let that be less. I'm a t-shirt and jeans girl anyways.

I love my capri yoga pants. . Make sure they aren't too tight though!

Leggings! Bring two! They are just wonderful! ]

Pj's-not necessary. An easy one to live without...but I'm going to try to bring them if i find room!

Extra pair of headphones if you are that person that breaks/loses them! ( I will)

And after saying all this...you need less than you think! I always lay all my stuff out and make myself remove a portion of what I would naturally pack!

Just get into the prescence of God. Ask Him to calm you if you need, and see what He is saying. And join us for Prayer night! I'm excited and expectant!

Love you guys! Can't wait to meet you! Keep sharing on the blog. Write if your nervous, excited, what God is teaching you in the prep stages! We can start learning to function as a body right here on this blog!!!

hoping this is helpful,

Elle
